Chemical Peel Phoenix, AZ | HyperpigmentedHave you have noticed that without any makeup on that your skin is red and hyperpigmented? Do you feel like that sometimes your skin is so hyperpigmented that it almost looks like you are Santa Claus himself? If so, then you may want to consider hyperpigmentation treatments. Here at our office, we know just how damaging the Arizona sun can be which is one of the leading contributors to hyperpigmentation. To help you get better-looking skin just in time to ring in the new year, Dr. Toni Stockton has a few different treatments for you to consider.

Chemical Peels for Hyperpigmented Skin

One of the easiest ways for us to treat slight amounts of hyperpigmentation is through chemical peels. Chemical peels are great because they are fast and fairly effective. The only downfall of chemical peels is that your skin will start to peel a little bit about one week after your treatment. So, if you have a big holiday party to attend, you may want to wait until the new year to give this treatment a go.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a resurfacing procedure that involves gently removing the top layer of your skin by using a handheld device that contains tiny crystals in it. This procedure also enhances your skin’s absorption of topical gels and creams which can also help reduce hyperpigmentation.

Cryotherapy

If you have concentrated areas of hyperpigmentation on your face, then we may recommend a treatment called cryotherapy. Cryotherapy works by using liquid nitrogen to actually freeze off any hyperpigmented spots to give you that clearer complexion that you have been wanting.
