It is a natural, normal part of aging, but that doesn’t mean we have to like it. Here are some ways that you can fight cellulite!

What is cellulite? Unfortunately for us women, cellulite is most often found in females – it is that dimpled skin on the thighs and buttocks that is sometimes described as “cottage cheese” skin. It is harmless, but annoying and unattractive. The amount of cellulite a person has can be determined by weight, hormones, genetic factors, and the amount of muscle tone.

How can you fight cellulite?

There are many creams and lotions available over-the-counter at your pharmacy or grocery store that you can try to get rid of cellulite. And, here are some home treatments you can try to prevent cellulite or to try to get rid of it:

1. Exercise. If you want to specifically target cellulite as you exercise, try squats and lunges.

2. Seaweed. Seaweed can do a lot for the skin – it can moisturize, exfoliate, remove toxins, stimulate blood flow, and improve skin texture, all of which can reduce the appearance of cellulite. Try warm baths with seaweed, or make a moisturizer to use after the shower by mixing sea salt, extra-virgin olive oil, and seaweed.

3. Apple cider vinegar. Many people swear by apple cider vinegar and its many health benefits. One more benefit may be that it can reduce toxins and water retention, which can mean less fat and less cellulite.

4. Juniper oil. A mixture of olive oil and juniper oil applied to the skin can make it feel firm and soft while reducing bloating.
