Q: What is truSculpt?

A: truSculpt is a non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) technology that uses deep heating to adipose tissue for body sculpting, fat reduction, and skin tightening.

Q: Is truSculpt safe? Is it painful?

Absolutely! The truSculpt system is safe and requires virtually no downtime. It is also considered to be pain-free, though some patients may feel mild discomfort comparable to a sunburn.

Q: Is truSculpt right for me?

A: When you meet with Dr. Stockton for your consultation, you can go over whether or not this treatment is right for you. In general, the right candidates have a BMI of less than 30 and have unwanted fat in areas of their body that they would like reduced.

Q: How long does a treatment take?

This depends on which areas you are getting treated but typically between 15 minutes and an hour per area treated.

Q: How many treatments will be needed?

You and Dr. Stockton will discuss which areas you’d like treated and then how many treatments will be needed to achieve your desired results. It will usually take 1-2 treatments for each area spaced 4-8 weeks apart.

Q: When will I start seeing my results?

The way that truSculpt works is by triggering the body’s immune system to break down fat cells in the treatment areas. Meaning you may begin to see results anywhere from 4 weeks to 3 months, or even later. It just depends on how your body breaks it down.

Q: What happens during the treatment?

Dr. Stockton will move the truSculpt handpiece over your skin, delivering targeted pulses of RF energy. These pulses last around 4 minutes and then the handpiece will continue onto another area for the next pulse. The treatment itself will take between 15 minutes and an hour, it just depends on how many pulses are needed.
