John J Shaff PA-C, DFAAPA
John is a board-certified Physician Assistant with more than two decades of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Northern Arizona University in 2001 and his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in 2004. He has been nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants since graduating and earned his Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Surgery in 2011.
John began his career in general orthopedics, trauma, and hand surgery before discovering his passion for medical and surgical dermatology. Since 2017, he has focused on helping patients diagnose, treat, and prevent skin cancer and a wide range of dermatologic conditions. He is especially passionate about skin cancer detection and prevention, combining clinical expertise with a commitment to educating patients about protecting their health.
As a brain tumor survivor himself, John brings a unique perspective to patient care. His personal healthcare journey has strengthened his empathy and compassion, earning him the trust and respect of patients who appreciate his attentive bedside manner and genuine commitment to their well-being.
Beyond clinical practice, John is a dedicated leader and volunteer. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants and is a Past President of the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants. He is actively involved in his community, volunteering with youth sports, providing pre-participation physicals for student athletes, and supporting youth track and field through USA Track & Field.
John is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Physician Associates, the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates, the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants, the Arizona Dermatology Physician Assistant Society, and the American College of Surgeons.
Amy West, PA-C
Amy West is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She graduated with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the University Of Nebraska Medical Center, in 2003, while in the U.S. Air Force. Amy also has a Masters Degree in Education from University of Texas at San Antonio and has trained medical professionals in some capacity since 2010. Amy retired from the Air Force in 2016 after serving 26 years as both enlisted and officer. Amy has specialized in Dermatology since 2016. She is passionate about treating atopic dermatitis and psoriasis because they profoundly impact every aspect of life. She is skilled in all aspects of dermatology including diagnosing and treating skin cancer, acne, chronic itching, hair loss and age-related concerns. Amy has considerable training and experience with cosmetic injectables and lasers. She loves coupling her years of experience in Family Medicine and Surgery with her knowledge and skill in Dermatology to provide patients a complete scope of medical care.
Laurie Evans, NP-C
Laurie Evans, NP-C, L.E., CMLT is a board-certified nurse practitioner, licensed aesthetician, and certified medical laser technician who has been a provider at Stockton Dermatology since 2008. Under the mentorship of Dr. Stockton, she has received extensive, hands-on education and advanced clinical training in aesthetic dermatology.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Laurie is a national laser trainer, CME educator, and keynote speaker for the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM), where she has been educating medical professionals on aesthetic procedures and energy-based technologies since 2011. Her experience spans numerous medical aesthetic platforms and regenerative technologies, making her a respected leader and sought-after clinical trainer in the field.
Laurie’s practice focuses on delivering comprehensive aesthetic and regenerative treatments that restore balance, harmony, and confidence. She specializes in neuromodulator treatments such as Botox® and Dysport® to smooth dynamic lines, as well as dermal fillers including Juvéderm® and Restylane® to enhance facial volume, contour, and symmetry. Her advanced approach integrates biostimulators and regenerative biologics/platelet-rich fibrin(PRF) to promote natural collagen renewal, improve skin texture, and address concerns such as fine lines, laxity, and hair restoration.
Beyond facial aesthetics, Laurie also brings clinical expertise in treating complex skin conditions including rosacea, melasma, photodamage, acne, scarring, and vascular concerns. Christina Alexander Practice Administrator
Stockton Dermatology’s Practice Administrator, Christina Alexander has thirteen solid years of management since the opening day, November 1, 2000, and over twenty-five years of management overall. She is an accomplished leader with extensive medical experience from working in the ER, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, OB/GYN, Cardio-Thoracic-Vascular Surgery and Family Practice settings. She also represents Stockton Dermatology on the Board of Directors for the ADA/M Group (Association of Dermatology Administrators/Managers).
Christina prides herself on facilitating high-performance amongst the twenty plus employees she supervises. Her professionalism and diligence foster a quality-driven, superior customer service experience for both patients and business associates.
Kayla Nuccio, Lic. Aesthetician, Laser Tech.
Kayla is an Arizona native who grew up here in Ahwatukee.
Kayla has been a Licensed Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician since 2018. She attended Aesthetics school shortly after graduating high school at Southwest Institute of Natural Aesthetics.
Whilst attending a more holistic based school Kayla quickly learned she was most interested in the medical grade skin care treatments as well as working with lasers. Kayla is passionate about all things skin and values every minute spent with her patients.
Outside of the treatment room Kayla enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as playing volleyball competitively here in the valley.
Olubukola “Bukky” Aremu, NP-C
Olubukola Bukky Aremu, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing since 2016. Prior to completing her dermatology fellowship in 2019, she worked in family practice, urgent care, and occupational health. She has a strong interest in both medical and preventative dermatology and is passionate about patient education. Bukky believes that understanding the skin, the largest organ in the body is essential to maintaining long-term health. She has been practicing in Arizona since 2022 and enjoys helping patients feel informed, confident, and empowered in their skin.
